I take back that recommendation. I gave another listen and it was pretty dreadful, not just vocal-wise. I can't trust some of my old notes. I probably wasn't very sober when I last heard it. My bad. Jerry sounds like he was minutes away from meeting the Grim Reaper.

That Boston Garden SOTM RB suggests was great to see but also something of a WTF moment as well.

I was excited because the first set was going great for me and looked like it had a chance to be a rockin show.
The Jack Straw > Althea opener seemed like a good sign. While the Jack is a solid 6 minutes the Althea is a long nearly 10 minute version. Neither song is played really intensely though (Jack gets very close) , more of a steady groove.
That was fine with me as the rest of the set included High Time and Lazy River so I figure Jerry is just going to jam evenly and stretch out a bit.
To make a long story short, that is what happened to the show! set II moving right along w/a bouncy Aikoright through to D/s where they come out of a 15 minute space into a 5 minute miracle>SOTM (9 minutes) and they walked of stage! While the SOTM was spectacular we were shocked that the show ended 15 minutes after space.
Would've been a bummer if that was the only one of the run I was able to see but I saw a bunch of those fall MSG & BG shows.
